Fake News in Digital Media

Abstract
The widespread spreading of fake news in digital media impacts negatively on the society. Therefore, try to prevent the spread of fake news and making the society aware in this regard is very important. The current research by reviewing the conducted researches and articles in addition to express the concepts and definitions related to the fake news, has tried to consider the role of digital media in the spread of this type of news and to present the necessary solutions to deal with spread of fake news while studying and analyzing this role. Obtained results showed that digital media has a dual role in spreading the fake news. Despite many advantages to increase the transmission speed and the scope and level of informing, digital media can also lead to rapid spread of the fake news. This is while Google or Fact Checker are trying to "assess the reality" of some intelligent systems such as helping to identify fake news published in the field of digital media.
