Abstract This study investigates the lived experiences of the new generation of women in Bushehr City concerning the impacts of globalization. Framed within a multidimensional understanding of globalization as a process that reshapes individuals’ lifeworlds through cultural, social, and technological transformations, the research employs a qualitative interpretive phenomenological approach. Through purposive sampling, in-depth interviews were conducted with 20 women born in the 1990s and 2000s (Persian calendar decades 70 and 80) residing in Bushehr. Data were analyzed using MAXQDA software and thematic analysis. Key findings highlight experiences such as the adoption of transnational values, fluid lifestyle practices, tensions between traditional and modern identities, rising individualism, and challenges stemming from cultural pluralism. These experiences reflect both an alignment with global trends and struggles to preserve local identity markers. The study concludes that globalization has not only redefined lifestyles, beliefs, and attitudes among this generation but has also catalyzed the emergence of hybrid identities and the renegotiation of gender roles within Iran’s urban sociocultural landscape.
